My stay at Village At Hawks Cay Villas was a mix of ups and downs. The villas had a beautiful layout and provided a tropical ambiance, but I noticed they were showing signs of wear and tear. The friendliness of the staff certainly stood out during my visit, making it a bit more enjoyable despite some issues with maintenance and communication.
Rooms
6.0
The villa was spacious with beautiful decor, really giving off that Keys feel. However, it did lack thorough cleaning, and some furniture was a bit cumbersome for the space. I experienced some maintenance issues such as a broken hot tub and issues with appliances that needed addressing.
Service
7.0
The staff was very friendly and eager to help, which really elevated my experience there. However, I had to reach out for updates and repairs, as communication wasn’t proactive from the management side.
Location
6.0
The location on Duck Key had its perks with beautiful views and proximity to some excellent attractions, but I found some amenities were quite a drive away. Knowing that I had to leave the hotel for pools and beach access was a bit inconvenient.
Dining
7.0
Dining at the on-site restaurant was a positive experience with good food and friendly service. However, having to pay a fee to access additional dining options at the nearby resort was a drawback.
Facilities

The hotel had some appealing outdoor amenities, but the upkeep was lacking. The pools were nice, but the overall hotel showed signs of neglect which affected the experience.

My stay at Village At Hawks Cay Villas was quite disappointing. The location was overpriced with misleading advertisements and lack of access to amenities that should have been included. While I appreciated the spaciousness of the villa and some lovely views, the dated and dirty conditions left much to be desired.
Rooms
5.0
The villa felt outdated and needed better upkeep, as some areas were dirty and marked by maintenance issues. The view from the balcony was less than advertised, looking out onto a repair container instead of the marina.
Service
5.0
There was no readily available on-site staff for assistance, which made situations like being locked out of the room very frustrating. Help took far too long to arrive, and I received no response to my inquiries.
Location
5.0
While Duck Key has a nice atmosphere, this specific location felt quite isolated, with no nearby amenities or easy access to beaches or pools without additional travel. It was disappointing to find out that we needed to drive to access the advertised pool and beach.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were extremely limited on-site. I felt that not having access to nearby resort restaurants without paying a fee was unfair and added to my frustration during the stay.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities were inadequate and not as advertised. The location lacked a pool or beach access, and I found the community amenities excessively overhyped.
